Tom Cats!
Inspired by our own furry family members, our cats are 100% male! They begin as handthrown clay domes, some carving is done, additions made (faces, ears, tail, etc.), glazed and Raku fired.
We use a few brush strokes of a copper wash to suggest fur. Its pretty minimal but provides a lot of variation. Finally, whiskers are added to complete the look! They're fun, zany, and with plenty of attitude. Approx. 4"x 4". $26 ea.
Tufted Puffins!
Native to the Pacific Northwest, Tufted Puffins can be seen in the Straits of Juan De Fuca during the summer months bobbing about, chasing candlefish. Inherently comical, they are perfect subjects for our menagerie. Hand thrown, altered and Raku fired. Approx. 3" D. $28.
